Expect a mix of coding, test design and framework design. Coding rounds commonly use arrays, strings, hash maps and sorting problems (a Blind AMA from a candidate with big-tech offers says to expect roughly easy-to-medium LeetCode-style questions, and that roles without coding questions lean toward manual QA). Test-design rounds ask you to design tests for an API such as order creation or a UI smoke suite, and to explain how you decide between unit, API and UI checks. Framework-design rounds ask about structure, page objects, data, reporting, parallel execution and flaky-test policy, and you may be asked to debug a CI-only failure or describe how you improved a product's testability. Some companies add a take-home automation assignment or a behavioral round. Practice coding out loud, and prepare one story about a framework you built and one about a flaky suite you fixed.
